Baumann Engineering, through its relationship with BauTech, Inc., was brought into this project to assist with getting CalTrans approvals for the use of the Tycor Retaining Wall System.  The Tycor system, for this project, employed BauGrids, a welded reinforcement grid product developed by Baumann Research and Development Corporation, and patented by principal Hanns Baumann, SE.  You can learn more about the development of the BauGrid WRG™ here, and about its current manufacture and distribution at the above BauTech, Inc. link.  This system eliminates graffiti, by providing a plantable retaining wall, which will disappear under the landscaping.
